WHO WE ARE
For the past 17 years, Letters to Santa Charity has served Stanislaus County with the unwavering mission of providing food, clothing, and essentials to children and families in need. With the generous support of local businesses, sponsors, and volunteers, we were able to positively impact the lives of over 2,000 children across 27 schools in Stanislaus County including schools in Turlock, Ceres, Keyes, Denair, and Modesto in 2024 and on target to reach even more this year. Elementary school age children each received Santa Bags with grocery food certificates, blankets, pajamas, socks, school spirit sweaters and toys/books/balls/games/art and more. We also award need-based scholarships to students who show a strong commitment to non-profit work and giving back to our community.
HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT
What sets this charity apart is our unique approach. All the children we support are hand selected by teachers, school staff, and administrators, ensuring that our efforts are directed where they are needed most. Our goal is not only to meet each child’s immediate needs but also to instill hope for a brighter future. Our charity is run 100% by volunteer participation and donations.
RECOGNIZED IN THE COMMUNITY
Our commitment has not gone unnoticed. This year, building on our prior recognitions, we received the prestigious Partners in Education Excellence Award by the Association of California School Administrators (Region 7). In 2024, we were recognized at the Stanislaus Partners in Education (SPIE) luncheon. In 2023, we were honored as Volunteer Organization of the Year by Turlock Unified School District and recognized by the Keyes Union School District for our community contributions.
HOW WE RAISE MONEY
We raise funds once a year at our annual dinner Gala which will take place this year on Saturday, November 1, 2025. Funds received by way of table sponsorships, child sponsorships, and auctions/games on the night of the event all go towards helping children and families - right here - in Stanislaus County.
